CFRP Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic Processing Services
CFRP Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic Processing Services
"What is CFRP?" CFRP stands for Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics, which translates to carbon fiber reinforced plastic in Japanese. First, let's discuss what CF (Carbon Fiber) is. There are two main types of carbon fibers: PAN-based and pitch-based. PAN-based fibers are made from polyacrylonitrile, while pitch-based fibers are derived from petroleum pitch or coal pitch. The characteristics of PAN-based fibers include a tensile modulus of 24t to 60t and a tensile strength of 330 to 600 kgf/mm², making them primarily medium-elastic and high-strength, resulting in many strong and flexible products. Their density is around 1.7 to 2.0. Pitch-based fibers have a tensile modulus of 5.5t to 95t and a tensile strength of 112 to 400 kgf/mm², and they are mainly high-elasticity products. Their density is around 1.7 to 2.2, which is slightly higher than that of PAN-based fibers. For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
